World Veterinary Day 2024, a significant event in the field of veterinary medicine, was celebrated with vibrant arrangements at Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU).

On Saturday (April 27), at 9 a.m., the veterinary faculty of the university organized a colourful rally. The rally started from the Veterinary Faculty, went around Bangabandhu Chattar, and ended at the ground in front of Building No. 3 of the Veterinary Faculty. Later, a cake was cut on the occasion of World Veterinary Day.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Emdadul Haque Chowdhury, Dean of Veterinary Faculty Prof. Dr Md. Abdul Awal, Students' Affairs Advisor Prof. Dr Harun-or-Rashid, and Heads of Departments of the Veterinary Faculty, teachers, and students were present at the time.

Before the rally, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Emdadul emphasized the global importance of the One Health approach. He highlighted that each individual, including the veterinarians present, plays a crucial role in protecting the environment, animal health, and ultimately, human health.
