Bangladesh finished 7th in ranking in 19th Asian Games Archery

Bangladesh finished 7th in the Ranking Round of the Recurve Men's team event of the 19th Asian Games Archery scoring 1963 that began in the Chinese city of Hangzhou on Sunday, reports UNB.

Sagar Islam finished in 22nd position scoring 662, while Ram Krishna Saha was placed 29th scoring 653 to qualify for the individual events.

Country's celebrated archer Ruman Shana, who was included in the Asiad team after an eleven-month suspension, miserably out from the individual event's race scoring 648.

In the men's team event, the Bangladesh team will play Vietnam.

In the Women's team event, the Bangladesh team comprising Diya Siddiqui, Fahmida Sultana Nisha and Shima Akter Shimu finished 14th scoring 1825 to face Chinese Taipei in the next round.

In the ranking round of Compound Division, Bangladesh's men's team finished 12th to play Malaysia in the next round while the Women's team finished 8th to play Hong Kong in the next round.
